A few months ago, we joined hands with KHAN Foundation to put together a school for children in Makoko community; the school is now up and running! We are ecstatic to have made this vision come to life with the help of our passionate team.
We Initially we set out to simply donate some money to help in setting up the school, but as the project began different members of our team showed interest in volunteering their time and talent in order to make the experience of the kids richer.
Some members of our team volunteered to design teaching materials for the kids, while others created a mural painting for the classroom. We marked the launch of the school by spending some time with the children during their break period.One of our core values in Paga is collaboration; the KHAN Foundation project has not only enabled us to touch lives within Makoko community but has also helped the team bond and collaborate better.
We have other interesting activities planned out for the kids during the course of the year, we intend to continuously support the organization in achieving its goals of promoting community development and providing education to marginalized children.
In our own little ways, we can all lend a helping hand to our surrounding communities and effect change. We share this to inspire you all to experience for yourselves the rich rewards of giving.
