Our people are our most important asset. We recognize the value each team member has in making sure that Paga works and works well. We wouldn’t be here without the hard work of everyone from different teams and across different levels in the organisation.
To show that recognition, we’ll showcase our people in different ways, one of which is Paga Conversations. This is the first installment, and in this first conversation, we’re speaking with Daniel Oparison, our Head – Marketing, Brand Strategy, and Growth.
Daniel is a brand and business growth strategist, leveraging over a decade of experience in Advertising, Brand management, and human-centered, Consumer Experience design to establish sustainable growth for businesses. He is a creative enthusiast with a passion for enabling individuals and businesses in Africa. He is an investor, board member, and advisor to 8 African businesses, which span the consumer technology, renewable energy, insurance, and lifestyle industries.

- What is your proudest moment at Paga?
- This is a moment I have experienced quite a few times. It’s when I see someone take ownership, apply themselves and grow in leaps within the organisation. The moment a driver showed interest, received training, and became a part of the Customer Experience team – now a key member of our technical support team; the moment a lady at the front desk reception became an Executive Assistant and went on to become a significant member of the business development team and another moment when another lady at the front desk showed initiative and joined the finance operations team.
- These are the moments that matter; when Paga has shown itself to truly make it possible for people to grow and have an impact in their lives and society, through the work they do.

- Organised!
- How do you define success?
- Engaging and enabling people and businesses to the best of my ability, to attain their potential in different spheres of my life. (in work, family, society, etc)

- If you had to eat one meal every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?
- My wife’s seafood soup, with her homemade bread and some plantain on the side : )

- What have you gained from working at Paga?
- Outstanding Personal and professional growth. It’s given me many opportunities to enable people, solve significant challenges, contribute to building a robust business and learn every – single – day!
