Making Life Possible: Paga Partners With KHAN Foundation

At paga our purpose is to make a difference in the lives of people, and what other place to continue the impact we are making than within the heart of our community (Yaba). We are striving to touch the lives of people not only through championing financial inclusion but in all aspects of life. This is why we have partnered with KHAN Foundation to help them achieve their goal of educating marginalized children.
 
 KHAN Foundation is a Non-profit organization aimed at promoting community development which revolves around providing quality education to the less fortunate at no cost at all; the team work in under developed and impoverished areas of Nigeria and develop schools that would equip children with basic education. The organization began work in January 2018 in Makoko community and the initiative is solely crowd-funded and volunteer driven.

Paga is collaborating with Joseph Awhinawhi of KHAN Foundation to help the organization achieve its goal of educating 1000 kids by the end of 2018. In a reality where forty per cent of Nigerian children do not attend any primary school, any effort to bridge the gap counts. Education creates an avenue to explore new ideas which enables a person to develop the world as a whole. We believe that education will give these kids a better chance at the future and make life’s challenges easier to face. We believe education is a human right.

To this effect we are assisting the organization in putting together a new school which will accommodate 50 children between the ages 3–5. We are also putting together other activities for the kids that will positively impact their life experience. Beyond this, our partnership will also help to increase access to financial services within the Makoko community, through our agent network.
